This Ridgeline Cookie Policy explains how Ridgeline, Inc. and its affiliates (“Ridgeline,” “we,” “us” and “our”) use cookies and similar technologies on ridgeline.ai, ridgelineapps.com and their subdomains (our “Sites”), and how you can control them.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device, so that it can remember something about you or your visit. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by another domain are called third-party cookies.

We also use technologies that work in a similar way, and this Policy covers all of them. These include web beacons and pixels, which are small graphics embedded in a page or an email that tell us whether it was opened or viewed; local storage, which stores information in your browser; tags and scripts, which are small pieces of code that collect information or load other services; and software development kits and similar tools used by our service providers.

How to control cookies

Our cookie preference center is the way to give or withdraw consent. You can open it at any time using the privacy choices link in the footer of every page on our Sites and turn categories on or off. Your choices are saved and applied on your next page load. You can change them as often as you like, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

If you are in the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom, no cookies otherthan strictly necessary cookies are set until you have made a choice.

If you are in the United States, cookies other than strictly necessary cookies may be set when you arrive, and you can turn them off at any time through the preference center.

Global PrivacyControl. We recognize the Global Privacy Control signal and treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for the browser that sends it. You do not need to do anything else if your browser sends that signal.

Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. There is no common industry standard for how sites should respond to it, so we do not respond to it. Please use our preference center instead.

Browser controls. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies, and you can find instructions in your browser’s help pages. Browser settings are a general control over your device rather than a record of the choices you have made with us, so if you want to withdraw consent for our Sites specifically, use our preference center. If you delete cookies through your browser you will also delete the record of your preferences, and we will ask you to choose again. If you block cookies entirely, parts of our Sites may not work.

The categories we use

Our preference center groups cookies into four categories.

Strictly necessary. These are required for our Sites to work and cannot be switched off. They include cookies that record your cookie preferences, cookies that keep a form session working while you complete it, and cookies used by our content delivery network to route and secure traffic. Some contain a unique identifier and some may hold information you have entered, such as an email address typed into a form. They are not used for advertising or to build a profile of you.

Functional. These enable features that go beyond basic operation, such as embedded video, interactive product demonstrations and remembering choices you have made. If you do not allow them, some features may not work.

Performance. These help us understand how our Sites are used so that we can measure and improve them. They tell us which pages are visited, how visitors move through the Sites, how long they spend and where they run into problems. Some of this information is aggregated. Some of it is not, and may include an identifier associated with your browser or device that allows visits to be linked over time.

Targeting. These are set by us and by our advertising, analytics and data partners. They may be used to build a profile of your interests, to show you advertising on other websites, to recognize you across the devices and browsers you use, to verify that advertising was delivered and was not fraudulent, and to identify the organization you work for and, in the United States, to identify you as an individual. Some of our partners may combine information about your activity on our Sites with information they or others already hold about you, including information associated with your email address, and may use it to send you marketing. If you do not allow this category, you will see less relevant advertising, and we will not seek to identify you as a visitor.

Other ways to opt out

In addition to our preference center, you can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info and the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org. These are United States industry programs, and they do not cover every provider we work with. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google’s browser add-on attools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

How long cookies last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device for a set period, which variesby cookie and is shown in the list above. Deleting cookies through your browser removes them immediately.

Changes to this Policy

We update this Cookie Policy when our use of these technologies changes. The “Last Updated” date above shows when it was last revised. Because the cookie list is generated automatically, it may reflect a change before the surrounding text does.
